I pitched the idea of this trip to my bride several months ago. After the "You're out of your mind!" look faded from her face, we both had a laugh and changed the subject. Fast forward and I've bought a BMW touring bike, accessorized both it and Grace with the latest in technologies from two-way communication systems to electric underwear. We are actively laying out a general course of travel moving in a clockwise direction starting from San Jose. There are so many places and sites we want to see that three weeks may not be enough, but that's what we've got and we're going to make the most of it! Now I just have to figure out how to get all the camera gear and computer into the "trunk" of the bike...
This took a lot of creative work--but Brian did it!! It all fit!
