Off to Bryce Canyon. Stopped in Las Vegas long enough for Grace to pick up some throat lozenges—because the dry heat of Death Valley and the change in temps yesterday caused her to develop a nasty cold and sore throat. Vegas was brown and hazy and we could see a LOT of construction going on.

We were in Nevada for a short time and then through a small corner of Arizona and then we got into Utah. It got progressively colder and the rock formations were spectacular. By the time we got to Zion National Park, we were traversing through areas *covered* in SNOW! Grace put on more gear.

The scenery around us had Grace shooting pictures even at 80 miles per hour. She got quite a work out trying to stay on the bike while leaning left and right and to even try to get shots behind us.

We traveled about 400 miles and to say that our arses hurt is like saying a tornado is a puff of air. We arrived at Bryce Canyon Lodge and got a neat little cabin with a fireplace. Had dinner around 8:15pm…Grace was so tired…and her cold was so bad, she could hardly breathe. Brian thought for sure she would fall asleep in her soup. Realizing that we both took on more than we could chew on this trip, Brian said, “Ok…we’re staying tomorrow, too. Won’t even get on the bike.” If Grace could have moved at that moment, she’d have jumped over the table and kissed him.

I love these cabins! I've stayed there several times with small groups and it's always hard to leave! Highly recommend!
